Efficiently managing work order reassignments and escalations ensures tasks are completed on time and by the right personnel.

Steps to Reassign a Work Order:

From the home screen, select the Work Orders workspace.
- Select the work order you want to reassign to a different team member.

Scroll down and click on the currently assigned team member’s name in the Assignee field
. Deselect the current team member and select someone else to assign the work order to.
- Exit out of the Assignee dropdown menu. For added clarity, consider adding a comment in the work order explaining the reason for the reassignment. Check out Coast’s Help Center for more information on how to leave comments in a work order.

Once you've made the necessary changes, press Save
. The newly assigned team member will receive a notification about the reassigned task.
Steps to Escalate a Work Order:
- From the home screen, select the Work Orders workspace.
- Select the work order that requires immediate attention.

Scroll down and click on the currently assigned team member’s name in the Assignee field
. Deselect the current team member and reassign the work order to a supervisor or senior technician who can address the issue promptly.

If necessary, you may increase the priority level of the work order to expedite the resolution process. Do so by clicking the Priority field
and selecting a more urgent priority level. Check out Coast’s Help Center for more information on how to set priority levels for work orders.
- Press Save

- For added clarity, consider sending an urgent message within the comment section of the work order. Check out Coast’s Help Center for more information on how to send messages as urgent.
