The Dashboard is a place where your team can set up widgets with top level information (total count) and one tap access to Views inside Coast that they care about such as:
- High Priority Work Orders
- Work Orders Assigned to Me
- Work Orders Due Today
This allows your team to have a central page they can visit without having to scroll through all of the workspaces, different views or mess with filters.
*If your team is looking at the Dashboard from their mobile device, make sure the view you are saving to the Dashboard is a List View (Table View is currently not visible on mobile).
Customization is only available in no-code workflows in the library labeled with “Custom” - and only in the Table View and the List View. If the workflow you are using does not have these features, you can ask our team about migrating over to one with these advanced features. These customization features right now are only available on Desktop: please log into your Coast account by visiting app.coastapp.com .
How to Create a Dashboard Widget:
- Filter your view until it looks exactly the way you want it to when someone clicks on the Dashboard widget (make sure it is a List view if you want it accessible on mobile).
- Make sure the view is Saved by clicking on the View Options dropdown and selecting Save for Everyone.
- Next click on the View Options button dropdown again but this time select Add to Dashboard.
- Give the Widget a name such as "Hight Priority Work Orders," (this is what will appear inside the Dashboard).
- Click Create Widget.
- Visit the Dashboard by finding it at the top of the Workspaces List under All Cards. (On mobile this will appear as a button along the very bottom of the screen).
- You should see the widget you just created. If you click on it, you will be taken back the the saved view you just created.
