Controlling tag editing gives you flexibility over how fields are maintained. When tag editing is enabled, team members can add or adjust options directly from their views. When it’s disabled, only admins can manage tags, which helps preserve consistency and prevents accidental changes.
Note: Customization is only available in no-code workflows. If your workflow doesn’t have these options, you can reach out to our team to discuss migrating to one that does.
At this time, customization features are only supported on Desktop. Please log in to your Coast at app.coastapp.com.
How to Enable or Disable Tag Editing:
Desktop
- Click the Workspace Title at the top of your screen to open the Menu.
- Select Fields. This controls how the form appears to everyone who has access to the workspace.
- Click the Single Select or Multi Select field you want to update, or add a new field.
- Toggle off Allow Tag Editing to prevent users from creating new tags. Tags can only be added or edited on this customization page.
- Click Save to confirm and apply your changes.
