Tracking costs in Coast is essential for understanding and managing your maintenance expenses. Two key tools provide valuable insights:
- Cost Tracking Cards: These cards provide a detailed breakdown of individual expenses associated with a specific work order, including labor, parts and vendor costs.
- Work Order Time & Cost Report: This report consolidates expenses across all work orders, displaying the total vendor costs accumulated. With tables grouped by assets, locations and other categories, this report helps you identify which areas contribute most to your overall costs.
By leveraging cost tracking cards and the Work Order Time & Cost Report, you can gain a clear view of your maintenance expenses, improve budget management, and make data-driven decisions to control costs.

Steps to View Cost Tracking Cards for a Work Order:
- From the home screen, click into the Work Orders workspace.
- Click on the work order that you want to view the cost tracking cards of.
- Scroll down, and click on the Costs icon
to see the complete list of cost tracking cards associated with your work order.
Steps to View Total Vendor Costs on the Work Order Time & Cost Report:
- From the home screen, select the Work Orders workspace.
- Click on the workspace title
at the top of your screen.
- A menu will appear. Click on Workspace Details.
- From the Reports section, select the Work Order Time & Cost report.
- A new web page will open showing your work order analytics. You can adjust your report using the filters at the top of the page.
- To download the report, hover over the top-right corner of each table, click the three-dot icon
, and then click Download results
.
- Select .csv, .xlsx or .json for a spreadsheet.
