A Coast organization is a single place for your team and your work. If you've recently joined one, this guide will help you get set up in Coast. Before you dive in, make sure you've downloaded our mobile app and you're able to sign in to your organization.
Make sure you're using the same phone number or email that you were invited with to sign in to join the correct Coast organization. If you're having issues or difficulty joining the correct Coast organization, check out this troubleshooting guide or send us a message at support@coastapp.com.

2. Fill out your profile
Your profile will help your teammates at Coast know who you are.
- From the home screen, tap your profile icon in the top left corner.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Add a Profile Photo.
- Change your Full Name if needed
- Enter an Email Address or Phone Number if needed.
- Click Save Changes.
To change your username tag, please send your preferred username to our support team via chat or email at support@coastapp.com, and we'll update it for you.
3. Get added to the right groups
In a Coast Organization, you can only see the workspaces that you're added to. You will automatically be added to the All Teams chat group once you join. However, to see other workspaces, make sure to let the organization's Owner or Admin know to add you. They will have to follow these steps:
Mobile
- From the home screen, open the Workspace where you want to add members.
- Tap the Workspace Name at the top center.
- Select Workspace Details.
- Scroll down to Members and tap Add New Member.
- Select the team members you want to add.
- Tap Add in the top right corner.
Desktop
- In the left sidebar, open the Workspace where you want to add members.
- Click the person icon at the top center.
- Scroll down to Members and click Add New Member.
- Select the team members you want to add.
- Click Add in the top right corner.
4. Learn how to see schedules and tasks
Each workspace in Coast consists of two parts: the Messaging section and the Workflow section. Depending on the workspace, you can be assigned shifts, tasks, work orders, and more. To see the schedules and tasks:
Mobile
- Open the desired Workspace
- Tap the check icon
in the upper right corner to view the schedule.

Filter Tasks (Optional): Tap the 3-dot icon
in the top right corner, select Filter, and then choose your name under Assignee to see only tasks assigned to you.
Desktop
- Open the desired Workspace.
- Close the chat area by clicking the X button in the upper right corner to view schedule.
- Filter Tasks (Optional): Tap the 3-dot icon in the top right corner, select Filter, and then choose your name under Assignee to see only tasks assigned to you.
