If you’re unable to sign up for Coast, it's most likely because you've used the wrong credentials. When you receive an email invite from your administrator, you need to sign up using your email address. When you receive a text invite, you need to sign up with your phone number.
There are two scenarios you are going to encounter:
- You get the error message: "Oops, failed to update profile!". Click Ok and go back to the Sign In page by clicking on the back arrow on the top left of the page.
- You are directed to the Create or join organization page. Click the dropdown arrow next to Join an Existing Organization then select Start Over.
Steps to troubleshoot signing up:

- You'll be taken back to the Sign In page.
- Click Sign In.
- Type in your phone number (if you received a text invite) or your email address (if you received an email invite).
- Enter the passcode sent to your phone number or your email.
- Type in your full name only and make sure to skip the other field by leaving it blank.
- Click Sign Up to finish creating your profile.
- Send us an email at support@coastapp.com with your full name, email address, and phone number so we can remove any duplicate information.
- You'll be taken back to the Sign In page.
- Type in your phone number (if you received a text invite) or your email address (if you received an email invite).

- Type in your full name only and make sure to skip the other field by leaving it blank.
- Click Sign Up to finish creating your profile.
