Learn more about the different types of views available to add to customizable workspaces.
Customization is only available in no-code workflows in the library labeled with “Custom”. If the workflow you are using does not have these features, you can ask our team about migrating over to one with these advanced features. These customization features right now are only available on Desktop: please log into your Coast account by visiting app.coastapp.com.
List View:
This view displays cards in a scrolling vertical list. Cards are grouped in sections that you can expand and collapse. Each section displays the total number of cards in that section next to the title name.
- Mobile: If you are viewing this on mobile or collapsed on the right side of your desktop, you will see cards displayed individually.
- Desktop: If you are viewing this on desktop in expanded view, you will see a table view with cards shown in rows and fields labeled at the top of each section in columns.
- Customization:
- When creating a new list view, you can choose what field you’d like to group the cards by.
- You can also decide to show/hide fields and field labels, group tags together in one field/column, or show them individually in their own field/column.
Board View:
This view displays cards in columns and allows you to drag-and-drop. This is only available on desktop, and will not show up for users on mobile.
- Desktop: Drag and drop cards to reorder them or put them in a different column. This allows you to visually make updates and track progress more intuitively.
- No Mobile view: Mobile users will not be able to see this view and will see a message to go view this on desktop.
- Customization:
- When creating a new Board view, you can choose what field you’d like to group the cards by.
- You can also decide to show/hide fields and field labels, group tags together in one field, or show them individually in their own field.
Calendar View:
This view allows you to see your cards on a calendar. The expanded view on desktop has drag-and-drop features. If a card does not have a due date it will not appear on the calendar.
- Mobile: If you are viewing this on mobile or collapsed on the right side of your desktop screen, you will see an agenda view.
- Desktop: If you view this on desktop in an expanded view, you will be able to see the calendar by Week or by Month. In these views, you can drag and drop cards between days to make updates to your schedule visually. In the Weekly view, you can select a field to group the cards by.
- Customization:
- To create a new Calendar view, you must have a Due Date field already added to your workflow. Due Date is the only field this view can be grouped by.
- You can decide to show/hide fields and field labels, group tags together in one field, or show them individually in their own field.
Table View:
This view allows you to see many cards at a time, ungrouped, with as many columns as you’d like visible without worrying about the width of your screen. This view gives managers the top-level views they need to supercharge their team’s workflows.
- Desktop: If you are viewing this on desktop in expanded view, you will see a table view with cards shown in rows and fields labeled at the top of each section in columns.
- No Mobile view: Mobile users will not be able to see this view and will see a message to go view this on desktop.
- Customization:
- Use the text field filter to select a text field like 'Title', 'Notes', or 'Description' and type in a keyword such as 'repair', 'dirty', or 'replace' to filter down the cards you are looking for.
- You can decide to show/hide fields and field labels, save your filter options, and create custom grouping options.
