Preventive Maintenance (PM), also known as recurring work orders, helps you stay ahead of equipment issues by scheduling maintenance before problems occur. With Coast, you can easily create PMs that repeat on a schedule, automatically assign technicians, attach parts and procedures, and stay organized.

- From the left-hand panel, click Work Orders & PMs.
- Click ➕ New in the top-right corner.
- Enter Work Order Details:
- Add a Title (ex. Monthly HVAC Maintenance)
- Add Notes (optional)
- Select a Priority (optional)
- Choose an Assignee
- Attach files such as manuals or photos (optional)
- Click Due Date and select when the first PM should be due.
- Click Add Repeat and choose how often the PM repeats.
- Click Start Date to choose when the PM appears on your calendar (e.g., 7 days before it’s due).
- Choose the Location.
- Select an Asset for this PM.
- Add Parts needed for this PM.
- Choose a Procedure (checklist) for technicians to follow.
- Click Create to save the PM.
