Gain valuable insights into your maintenance operations by analyzing costs and time spent on work orders with Coast. The Work Order Time & Cost report provides a clear breakdown of labor, parts, and vendor expenses.
Note: Access to Coast's reporting features is available exclusively to users on Pro and Enterprise plans.
- From the home screen, select the Work Orders workspace.
- Click on the workspace title
at the top of your screen.
- A menu will appear. Click on Workspace Details.
- Under reports, select the Work Order Time & Cost report.
- A new web page will open showing your work order analytics. You can adjust your report using the filters at the top of the page.
- To download the report, hover over the top-right corner of each table, click the three-dot icon
, and then click Download results
.
- Select .csv, .xlsx or .json for a spreadsheet.
- On the left-hand side, click on the Work Orders workspace.
- Click on the workspace title

Understanding Costs and Metrics in the Work Order Time & Cost report
Parts Cost: Calculated by multiplying the number of parts used on a work order by the cost per part (as listed on each part card).
Labor Cost: Determined by multiplying the total hours clocked on a work order by the hourly rate specified on the time cards.
Vendor Cost: Based on the amounts recorded on each cost tracking card assigned to a work order.
Work Order Cost: The sum of all parts, labor, and vendor costs associated with a work order.
Total Time Hours: The cumulative time clocked across all work orders.
